Pictures of the ordinations in 2024

The 60th Annual Council of Lutheran Women’s Luncheon was on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at The Mirage located at 16980 Eighteen Mile Road, Clinton Township, MI. The Women of the Year were honored. The entertainment was Living Truth 2 which is a Christian faith-based husband and wife team with a diverse musical style performing approximately 50 concerts each year.

The Council of Lutheran Women’s Spring Meeting was held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Historic Trinity located at 1345 Gratiot Avenue, Detroit, MI. The speaker was Deb Ellinger of Elli's House. Lunch was served following the meeting. p

The 59th Annual Council of Lutheran Women’s Luncheon was on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Burton Manor located at 27777 Schoolcraft Road, Southfield, MI. The Women of the Year were honored. The speaker was Ida Hall who serviced as a local president, zone president, and LWML Louisiana Mississippi District President, 1972-1976. She also served as ILWML Public Relations Director and Planner before being elected president in 1991.

The 58th Annual Council of Lutheran Women’s Luncheon was on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Macomb Sports & Export Center located at 14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, MI. The Women of the Year were honored and the Women of the Year from 2020 and 2021 were recognized due to the cancellation of the 2020 luncheon and the all-virtual luncheon of 2021. The speaker was Rev. Dr. Gregory Seltz, Director for the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty.

The Council of Lutheran Women’s Spring Meeting was held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Shadow of the Cross Lutheran Church, 20805 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48330. The speaker was Megan Schultz, Family Life Minister-at-large for the Michigan District serving with the Act 2 Enterprise Detroit Ministry. Megan partners with Detroit Lutheran churches to teach discipleship to families in new ways that tap into the strengths of urban churches. The business meeting included the elections of officers and provided the inter-congregational organizations an opportunity to update guests on their needs and news. Ingathering of requested items were collected for our mission partners. Lunch was served following the meeting.

The Council of Lutheran Women’s Spring Meeting was on Monday, April 19, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 22915 Greater Mack Avenue, St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The meeting was also be available via Zoom. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. followed by opening devotions at 9:45 a.m. Rev. Larry Wright and Mrs. Laura Thomas will share important updates and insight into seminary life.

The Council of Lutheran Women’s Fall Spring Meeting was on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 37635 Dequindre Road, Troy, Michigan. The Fall meeting followed the Mission Focus Event. The theme this year will be Mission Focus and will feature our local missions in the Detroit area. The missions will have exhibits and brief presentations.

The Council of Lutheran Women’s Fall Meeting was held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Mt. Calvary (Camp Restore) located at 17100 Chalmers, Street, Detroit, Michigan. Member could participate in person or via ZOOM. The theme of Mission Focus has been moved to the Fall 2021 meeting because we are not sure of how many people will attend this Fall. Camp Restore gave a presentation about the camp.

The 2019 Council of Lutheran Women President's Tea was held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warren. The Lutheran High School North's Instrumental Flute Ensemble entertained the attendees.

The 2019 Council of Lutheran Women was held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Macomb Michigan on Monday, September 23, 2019 located at 17051 24 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042.

The 2019 55th Annual Luncheon was held on Tuesday, March 19 at Burton Manor

The 2018 President's Tea was held on October 15th at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Westland Lutheran High School Chamber Singers entertained the members who attended the tea.
